About

Anna has over 20 years’ experience in resolving commercial disputes.  Prior to becoming a Nationally Accredited Mediator in 2014, Anna was a Principal commercial litigator of a mid-tier national firm representing both Defendants and Plaintiffs across all jurisdictions.

Anna’s experience provides her with unique and vivid insight into the challenges faced by participants in our legal system.  Anna is keenly aware how protracted litigation can impact both financially and emotionally upon parties, expend the energy and resources of a business, its owners and managers, often distracting them from what is most important ~ getting on with business and their lives.

Practical intelligence combined with Anna’s genuine compassion and curiosity, her vast understanding of court processes and strategies, specialist skills in mediation and dispute resolution, as well as her legal nous are put to full effect in her mediations.

Anna strives to ensure parties carefully assess all options, have control over the outcome in a cost effective and time efficient way, often resulting in creative and commercial solutions that are otherwise unable to be achieved via the legal system.

  • Active panel mediator for Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), Victorian Small Business Commission (VSBC) and Australian Small Business Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO – Franchising).
  • Anna also accepts the role of Independent Solicitor in injunctive relief proceedings, Anton Pillers (search orders).
  • Online dispute resolution (ODR) services are readily available

Anna’s mediation practice is McRae-Anderson Mediation.
